Power BI opens a wide opportunity to create meaning visualisations of your data.  It is easy to grab an excel spreadsheet an create interactive reports.  There are a number of useful tips which can help build and implement reports.

The first of these tips is to create a set of Core Measures as distinct to using the measures Power BI think are measures.  Benefits of this include:

• It is clearer for users to know which data to use.
• The measures can be used in other formula.
• You can create meaningful measure names.

You can assign these Measures to a “Core Measures” table making it even easier for user to select data.
